Deborah Smith. She is the author of this book that I also got at a second hand store. Awesome book. Very long, but I absolutly loved it. She is great at detail and has an awesome mind. This story very easily could have been a true story.
It is about a young girl named Lily and a young man named Artemas. All of their lives their fates have been crossed together. From the begining. She comes from a very poor family whom lives on a farm. Her family has worked for his family for some time. He comes from a higher class family, but his family is built on secrets and lies and bad reputations. From a young age he is put with the responsibility of taking care of his siblings. All through their lives even though they end up farther and farther apart they never lose site of eachother and corospond with each other and bare eachothers burdens. Until a horrible accident leaves them at war with one another. They must over come the burdens their families are putting them through and undraw the battle lines.
Blue Willow takes place in the time period of early ’60′s to mid 90′s in Georgia. It does a wonderful job of showing you the time changes and expectations that was Georgia in the time. It shows that when all the odds are against you, you can over come anything with a little trust and comunication.
